CSL By the Number: Round 22 Attendance

There was a full slate of matches over the weekend, but without home matches for the better attended clubs, the stats look a bit anemic.

  • Qingdao vs. Beijing – 12,180
  • Changchun vs. Jiangsu – 12,000
  • Chengdu vs. Shaanxi – 5,868
  • Shandong vs. Hangzhou – 12,793
  • Tianjin vs. Shanghai – 18,683
  • Shenzhen vs. Dalian – 6,352
  • Henan vs. Hangzhou – 20,688
  • Liaoning vs. Nanchang – 15,821

The averages for the season to date are below.  It’s interesting that among China’s first-tier cities, two are at the very top (Guangzhou, Beijing) and the other two are at the bottom (Shanghai, Shenzhen).  It also appears obvious that Hangzhou’s forced move from its home base has severely damaged its attendance.  Overall, the fans are coming back in numbers.

  3. Shaanxi – 32,884
  4. Liaoning – 20,059
