All the goals from CSL round 18

It’s been a busy week here at , so here we present a rather late round-up of all the goals and key moments from last weekend’s Chinese Super League matches. After the shocks of the previous week, its business as usual this time round for the most part as most results follow the Chinese Super League  script.

Nanchang 1-0 Chengdu

A good win for Nanchang in this relegation clash – Chengdu look to be in danger of going straight back down at the end of this season. Backing music in this one: Gothic-flavoured hard rock.

Dalian 0-0 Beijing Guoan

Beijing’s fragile title challenge credentials all but evaporate with a dissapointing away result to lowly Dalian. BCheng’s report has more.

Guangzhou 4-0 Qingdao

Conca gets on the scoresheet with a nice finish, and then again with a wonderful freekick as Qingdao prove to be no match for big-spending Guangzhou with some comically bad defending.

Jiangsu Sainty 3-0 Shenzhen

The boys from Nanjing continue their blistering run of form, sweeping hapless Shenzhen aside in a convincing victory, as revealed by ‘s Kenneth. Don’t miss the rock/techno 303 acid hybrid backing track here.

Shanghai Shenhua 1-2 Henan

Fan’s at Hongkou look on in horror as Shenhua plumb new depths by continuing the worst run in their history, squandering their lead with some pathetic defending and goalkeeping. The Editor’s match report is the most commented post this week as Shenhua fan’s sift through the smouldering wreckage of their side’s latest crash and burn.

Shaanxi 2-1 Shandong

A very good win for Shaanxi here, their new Scottish signing Derek Riordan has yet to score but comes close in this match with a couple of well taken efforts.

Hangzhou 1-0 Liaoning

Liaoning remain third despite two defeats on the trot – going down thanks to a penalty which was the wrong decision. Luis Ramirez, former Shenhua and Guangzhou striker, makes the most of it to seal the game from the spot.
