Weekend Wrap Up

In case you missed anything, here are highlights from all the weekend’s matches (with comments, I can’t resist) that we haven’t reported on (Beijing-Tianjin can be found here, while Dalian-Shanghai is here)

Qingdao 0 – 1 Changchun

What a surprise, a Chinese Super League game where a keeper’s mistake decides the result.

Shenzhen 2 – 1 Henan

Not good when highlights don’t start until the final minutes of the first half! Chris Killian gets himself a brace, but it looks like he may have been offside on the second one. While I’m happy to see Henan lose, but they have reinforcements coming, Marco Flores looks headed to Zhengzhou as part of a RMB3 million deal, word out of Australia is he was one of the A-League’s best ever players, him and Netto will be a hell of a duo.

Liaoning 0 – 1 Shandong

The crazy weather that played a part in the Dalian-Shanghai match hit Shenyang as well, though it seems not quite as bad.

Nanchang 2 – 3 Shaanxi

A real goal fest in Nanchang, but the end result is as expected.

Hangzhou 1 – 1 Chengdu

A bit of a letdown in Yiwu after having beaten Shanghai last weekend, Hao Junmin headed their way is sure to help as the season goes on.

Guangzhou 2 – 1 Jiangsu

Another game where conditions definitely played a factor. Both of Guangzhou’s penalties look gifted, especially the second one, looks to be a horrible call from the ref.

  1. Guangzhou remains unchallanged. After Guoan’s three consecutive draws, we still hold second place, barely… In this year, Beijing, Shanghai, Shandong, Hangzhou, Tianjin, Liaoning, Shanxi will fight brutally for CSL’s…eh…second place…

btw, bcheng, I appreciate that you posted highlights from all matches. But do you know after clicking the post, you got 6 trailers of ‘The Founding of the Party’ automatically running the same time…? This is so ‘powerful’, so…damn…
