Harbin Yiteng have made their first domestic signing of the winter, bringing in 25 year old striker Tan Long. The forward has spent the past five years playing in the United States, Vancouver and DC United among the teams he suited up for.
Tan never really stood out in the US, only managing two goals in top flight play, however he did knock in a number of goals in America’s lower division, the NASL, where he managed 15 goals in 65 matches. It will be Tan’s Chinese Super League debut, having only previously played in China League One, before moving to the States.
Despite his lack of production in the United States, Tan’s pickup on a free transfer will certainly benefit the northeastern side’s depth as they fight to avoid relegation their first season in China’s top flight.
