Much will be decided later this month when China plays two Asian Cup qualifying matches in Xi’an. The national team will first take on Indonesia on November 15, then follow it up a few days later with a match against group leaders, Saudi Arabia, on the 19th. The group is still up for grabs with every side having a chance of making it to Australia 2015, with the situation looking like this:
Saudi Arabia – 9 points
China – 4 points
Iraq -3 points
Indonesia – 1 point
The squad looks much the same as it did for the previous match away against Indonesia, a match that resulted in a disappointing draw for China. As always, Guangzhou Evergrande players dominate the list, with 9 coming from the Cantonese side, while Beijing, Jiangsu, Shandong, and Guizhou each supply three players. Here’s the complete list:
Guangzhou Evergrande: Zeng Cheng, Feng Xiaoting, Zheng Zhi, Rong Hao, Sun Xiang, Zhang Linpeng, Zhao Xuri, Gao Lin, Huang Bowen
Jiangsu Sainty: Liu Jianye, Wu Xi, Sun Ke
Beijing Guoan: Yang Zhi, Lang Zheng, Zhang Xizhe
Guizhou Renhe: Yu Hai, Yang Hao, Qu Bo
Dalian Aerbin: Yu Dabao, Yu Hanchao
Shandong Luneng: Du Wei, Jin Jingdao, Wang Yongpo
Guangzhou R&F: Jiang Ning
Qingdao Jonoon: Liu Jian
Shanghai Shenhua: Wang Dalei
Shanghai East Asia: Wu Lei
