China interim coach Fu Bo has named his squad for the country’s Asian Cup qualifier with Indonesia on October 15, with several former regulars handed recalls to the international scene.
Among those to be handed recalls are the Guangzhou Evergrande duo of Sun Xiang and Gao Lin, who were rested for recent friendly wins over Singapore and Malaysia. Wingers Yu Hai and Yu Hanchao also return to the national team for the first time in several games.
Shandong Luneng midfielder Jin Jingdao retains his place in the squad, despite not always featuring at club level, but club teammate Zheng Zheng joins Qu Bo, Yang Xu, Li Xuepeng and the injured Zheng Long on the sidelines.
Evergrande’s Huang Bowen is suspended for the fixture, while right-back Zhang Linpeng is selected despite suffering an ankle injury that could well keep him out of the encounter.
