Last Saturday the last round of the 2012 season took place on pitches in rainy late autumn China when teams competed in CSL Round 30. A tumultuous week has since eclipsed a goal-rich and fine end to this year’s campaign. Dalian Shide enthusiasts sung an emotional farewell to their team continuing long after the match, in the meantime the northeastern club was purchased by the Aerbin group. Uncertainty is looming about which assets will be utilized further and merged with the new set-up. To say the Dalian club was an important part of China’s professional top division since its inauguration in the 1994 season would be an understatement – the title was won by the Dongbei side eight times.
It is probably worth your while to stay tuned for this week’s upcoming pubtalk which will most likely touch on this subject as well as featuring a pre-view of the upcoming first leg of the cup final between Guangzhou Evergrande and Guizhou Renhe.
