CSL Season Ticket Price Hikes Across the Country But Still A Bargain
With just over a week before the Chinese Super League season kicks off, we’re finally getting news about season ticket prices. Across the country, ticket prices have gone up considerably, many teams raised prices by 25-50%， with Shanghai Shenhua’s price raise being the most dramatic. As regular prices move closer to $100 (and in some cases far surpass it, especially for better seats), the question the league now faces is how much higher can prices go in some cities before fans start to push back.
Even considering those price raises, season tickets include all 15 Chinese Super League matches and at least one CFA Cup match, making them an incredibly good deal for any football fan. Most teams even include a free scarf or “replica” jersey with their season tickets. The chart below shows the price of season tickets in each Chinese Super League city along with that city or province’s GDP, demonstrating truly how good a deal Beijing and Dalian season tickets are (and Shenxin as well, though they are playing closer to Zhejiang than Shanghai’s city center).

I bought my tickets with one of the Jiangsu supporters groups and then ended up costing me 200rmb and that includes a scarf and t-shirt. If I was a student it would have only cost me 150rmb.
I was just going by what Sohu posted, not surprised they got it wrong (or their information was incomplete). Even at RMB300, it wouldn’t be bad, RMB200’s a steal. Unfortunately, elsewhere in the country, prices are going up considerably…

If you want you could probably just wait until the first home match of the season and buy season tickets outside the stadium. That’s what I’ve done in the past.

bcheng, do you know anyone selling a Guoan season ticket? I left it too late (didn’t realize they were on sale) and I’m desperate for one now. Don’t want to give money to a season ticket scalper though. Bastards profiteering off innocents!

Nope, sorry. Season tickets were nearly impossible to come by as it is, at this point you’re out of luck and will need to deal with the scalpers…
Any news on what the matchday tickets will cost for Shanghai Shenhua? They were around 50 last year, had Anelka’s arrival boomed up the price?
It’s not clear just now unfortunately, the first few games are likely to be sold out, so it will be tough to get tickets. Official tickets from the ticket office won’t be more than 100, but buying from scalpers will be a lottery. Best arrive very early if you want to try your luck at getting a matchday ticket.
