CSL By The Numbers: Round 23 Attendance & ACL/Relegation Watch

Chinese Super League logoSome exciting results on Saturday as Guangzhou is one step closer to securing the league title and the Asian Champions League (ACL) picture doesn’t change too much with the draw in Beijing and Shandong’s loss.  At the other end of the table, Nanchang jumps out of the relegation zone while Dalian moves closer to safety as well.

ACL positioning

  1. ↑ Guangzhou (52 points)
  2. ↔ Beijing (40 points)
  3. ↔ Liaoning (36 points)
  4. ↓ Shandong (33 points)
  5. ↑ Hangzhou (33 points)
  6. ↓ Changchun (32 points)

Relegation zone

When it comes to attendance, the numbers were bad almost everywhere except for Guangzhou and Beijing, who keep the average respectable as the season goes on.  We’ll post updated information on each team’s average attendance next week after we’ve had two more matches.
