Guangzhou 4-1 Shenzhen

An exciting Guangdong derby – Shenzhen shocked the homeside by taking an unexpected lead, but normal service was resumed soon enough. Some controversial moments in this match, don’t miss Guangzhou striker Gao Lin’s absolutely pathetic dive for which he was rightly yellow-carded.

Beijing 3-1 Chengdu Blades

A very exciting game at Gongti, in the end a comfortable win for the men in green who keep up the pace behind Guangzhou in second place, albeit forlornly. But just what is the Chengdu defence doing at the rebound for Beijing’s missed penalty?

Nanchang 0-0 Qingdao

Both goalkeepers looking sharp in this game as the scoreline suggests. Soundtrack: Lounge rock.

Dalian 1-1 Liaoning

A big provincal derby game which Dalian must be absolutely kicking themselves for not winning. They scored once, but missed a hatload of guilt-edged chances before conceeding an equalizer in the 90th minute despite dominating the game. Ouch!

Hangzhou Greentown 1-2 Henan Construction

Bizarre own goal alert! Hangzhou have been struggling of late, another home defeat for the Zhejiang province team. But don’t miss their equalizer, a classic Laurel and Hardy moment.

Jiangsu Sainty 2-0 Shandong Luneng

Jiangsu continue their unstoppable charge up the table by claiming a major scalp – last season’s champions. Two nicely taken goals, another disallowed for an alleged infringement.

Shanghai Shenhua 0-2 Changchun Yatai

Yet another Hongkou horror show. Shenhua dominate the first half, but then goto pieces in the second. The crisis deepens…

Shaanxi 1-1 Tianjin

Another goal in the last minute – this time for Tianjin who battle to a draw at fortress Xian.
