CSL Round 14 Weekend Wrapup
Here are all the highlights from this past weekend, some exciting matches and interesting results all around. (Go here for Shaanxi-Beijing, and here for Shanghai-Nanchang).
Liaoning 0 – 0 Changchun
This “Dongbei Derby” ended scoreless, but looks like both sides had plenty of chances. It’s a shocking 8 draws in 13 matches for Changchun this year.
Tianjin 1 -1 Qingdao
It was almost a big victory for Qingdao that had this Guoan fan excited, but a late equalizer gives Tianjin the point they deserved in this tough match.
Shandong 2 – 0 Shenzhen
Antar gets one, Obina scores another late goal as Shandong cruise past Shenzhen.
Hangzhou 1 – 3 Guangzhou
Cleo gets one and sets up Muruqui on another and Gao Lin gets on the scoresheet as well to see Guangzhou go up 3-0, Bali (Bari Mamatil) gets a late goal to get Hangzhou on the board, but it’s too little too late. I’ve downplayed Guangzhou’s dominance this season as they haven’t beaten a top side other than Tianjin, this was a big win, especially on the road, and shows they are for real. That said, with Conca coming, which Brazilian is going to be the odd man out?
Jiangsu 4 – 0 Dalian
I hope we’ll see a match report for this one, Jiangsu runs wild all over Dalian, earning a much needed 3 points and moving them further away from the relegation zone.
Chengdu 0 – 2 Henan
In a relegation zone battle, Henan helped themselves out with a much needed 3 points, their first win of the year, in this one against Chengdu.
