North Korea’s olympic team will play a training match against Shanghai Shenhua’s reserve side this afternoon, according to the club’s official website.
The game will take place in Shanghai at the club’s Cambridge training base in Pudong district, and comes off the back of Dear Leader Kim Jong-il’s visit to China last week.
This Sports163.com report shows the North Korean squad arriving at Shanghai’s Pudong Airport. It says North China’s own Olympic team, currently coached by former Shenhua boss Miroslav Blažević, has arranged two games in the next week, on Friday and Monday, one of which will be against the North Korean team also.
News was rifle last week that North Korea’s dear leader paid a visit to Shanghai as part of his latest China mystery tour. One wonders if his trip included an inspection of Shenhua’s training facilities in Pudong, in a similar manner to those depicted on this amusing site.
