On the 6th April 2011 players from Nea Salamina football team, a second division team in Cyprus took part in leadership and teamwork exercises with the training development flight (TDF) at RAF Akrotiri. The scenarios were run by Flt Lt Lord, (OC TDF) and Cpl Grize of the ped flight. They ranged from the footballers having to get various pieces of kit from one location to another, a run with a weighted down stretcher and also directing each other whilst blindfolded. After each scenario they discussed the communication and teamwork skills used in each activity.
